Yesterday & today, Canon organised it’s EOS Discovery Days in Anderlecht, near Brussels. The complete Canon L-lens assortment, the new 5D Mark II & some more goodies would be present. But that’s not all … Bert (Stephani) was also invited by Canon to present his workshop their for all to attend. Reason enough for Tom, Thomas, Lies & myself to organise a road trip. My report of the day is below in between the photos. I can already tell you that it was one hell of a day

Tom presenting his best side to the camera while driving to Anderlecht

I asked Thomas to look cool in front of the camera, this is what I saw …

Lies driving caused some anxiety now and then !!! (j/k

Tom trying to comb his hair using his lens as a mirror

mr Fotofolio …

Thomas cracking up

Canon had a team at the event that cleaned 1D-series cameras. I used the opportunity to have my 1D Mark III cleaned. Tom on the other hand was so jealous that he decided to clean his Nikon camera himself …

Serge Shadow was also present

Mr Bunker

Lies being very busy

no comment :p

Jef Janssens & Tom , posing for the event photographer

When the model at the Broncolor booth took a short break, Tom was kind enough to take her place for a while

Tom, face of the new Broncolor advertisement campaign?

Thomas

Tom and his Canon

When I wanted to take a portrait shot of Jef, there wasn’t enough light. Luckily Tom was around to offer Jef a light :p

Bert obviously needs a crash course on “how to deal with fans” !

Joachim from Canon Belgium brought a nice presentation of the Canon line-up and gave some more information on the Canon software & hardware in between Bert’s workshop

I wanted a close-up shot of Bert in full action, unfortunately I only brought my 24-70L. Luckily Canon was there to reunite me with the love of my life : the 200mm F2L
Dear Santa …

Jean in full action

Everyone was very concentrated during Bert’s workshop
After Bert’s workshop we said our goodbyes to the many friends & collegues and we went to the Ikea in Ternat for a nice & fun dinner. I didn’t take any photos there but Tom & Thomas did. I’m sure you’ll see their results on their blogs pretty soon, although I’m not sure if I should be really happy with that
.
It was an incredibly fun-packed day, very nice to see so many friends & colleagues again & it was just what I needed to recharge my batteries. Thanks Thomas, Tom, Didier, Lies, Jef, Bert, Erika, Isabel, Jean and the many others ! I hope to see you all again very soon !
