The atmosphere on the morning of Tinneke & Filip’s wedding was amazing. Tinneke, her mother & sister where gigling & hugging like little school girls :-). It was a joy to watch !

The fact that Tinneke & I share the same awesome name & that we live in the same town is a nice added bonus .

I love seeing people in love & Tinneke & Filip where certainly in love ! They are crazy for each other and everyone is allowed to see it !

Tinneke & Filip, thank you for a great day, it was a day I’ll remember for a long, long time ! !

Oh yeah, today was, once again, bullseye ! Chantal & Christophe, you guys where absolutely superduperfaboulicious !!!!

In a couple of hours I’ll be driving to Germany with a couple of collegues/friends to visit Photokina, so it’s about time I go catch some sleep .

I’ll tell you all about the wedding in a couple of days when I put the slideshow online.

It’s always fun to shoot a wedding close to home from time to time. Sophie & Bart live pretty close by (in Herzele) so this was almost a home game for me

I started the day at Sophie’s parents’ house where she was getting ready, after which I joined Bart who was waiting at the party venue for the rest of the wedding party so they could go and pick up Sophie in their oldtimer bus.

The Christian ceremony was one with that little extra something : Sophie is part of an orchestra (actually, the dutch word is “Fanfare” but I don’t know how to translate that) and a lot of the members where at the church to provide the music. Very impressive to both see and hear !

The party, which took place in Hof Ten Daele, had another surprise for all of us : they had a famous singer there to sing a couple of greatest hits : La Esterella !

Sophie & Bart, thank you for an awesome day ! It was a true pleasure to be your photographer for the day ! Oh and by the way, if I ever build a house you can be my architect Sophie !

The past weekend was a killer fysically but mentally it was hugely satisfieng !!!
On Friday I shot the wedding of Karina & Bruno, who both live in the Dominican Republic. Bruno has his roots in Gent and they decided to get married here. It was a fan-tastic wedding under a clear blue sky, and ended with a midnight shoot in down town Gent that Bruno arranged as a surprise for Karina.

After our midnight shoot, where I was assisted by Sofie (thx a million Sofie !!!) I drove back home to charge my camera’s batteries, copy my CF cards, backup the photos, sleep a little over 2hours & get back up to drive towards Aarsele to shoot Kim & Joram’s wedding.

A beautifull couple, great weather & loads of fun family & friends made the day a blast ! Together with camera guy Vinny I had a great time shooting their dream day. Tonight my bed welcomed me with open arms & after 12h of well deserved sleep I am now proud to show you some photos from the past weekend.
